31-Mile Chase Ends in Arrest: Motorcyclist’s Bold Escape Fails in Harris County

A wild motorcycle chase that stretched over 30 miles through northwest Harris County ended with the rider in custody, according to the Harris County Constable’s Office.

The man behind the wheel, 39-year-old Justin Hamlet, now faces charges for evading arrest in a motor vehicle. Authorities said the incident began on January 3 when deputies attempted to pull over a motorcycle on Tomball Parkway, near the 19600 block.

Instead of stopping, Hamlet decided to take off, sparking a high-speed pursuit. Deputies followed him for an exhausting 31.8 miles before he finally came to a halt. Once stopped, Hamlet was detained and taken to the Harris County Jail.

The court has since set his bond at $10,000. While the chase ended without further incident, it serves as a stark reminder of how quickly a routine traffic stop can escalate.
