A man has been charged in connection with a fire that damaged a popular restaurant in Crossville, Tennessee, last year. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), 26-year-old Brandon Chance Jones faces one count of arson for his alleged role in the incident.
The fire happened on March 2, 2024, at Bootleggers Bar and Grill in Crossville. Fire crews responded quickly and found significant damage to the restaurant. The roof was badly affected, and the interior was left with heavy smoke damage.
Just two days later, on March 4, 2024, TBI joined the investigation to figure out what caused the fire. After looking into it, investigators determined that the fire wasn’t an accident—it had been set on purpose.
The case moved forward this month when a grand jury in Cumberland County indicted Jones on January 6, 2025. He was arrested the following day and taken to the Cumberland County Jail. His bond has been set at $75,000.
Bootleggers Bar and Grill has been a well-known spot in the community, and the news of the fire shocked many locals. Now, with charges filed, people are hoping for answers about what happened and why.
