Travis Kelce recently opened up about his relationship with Taylor Swift and how it fuels his success both on and off the field. Speaking on The Stephen A. Smith Show ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff game, the 35-year-old tight end shared that he and Swift are both in a great place, and it’s having a positive impact on his game.
“I’m enjoying all aspects of life. Me and Taylor are happy,” Kelce said. “I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and comfort off the field, and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium.”
Kelce highlighted that being in a strong relationship gives him the stability and encouragement to focus on his craft. “That’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship,” he explained. “You get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you.”
As the conversation shifted to Swift’s music, Kelce joked with Stephen A. Smith, who admitted he had never really listened to her songs before attending her concert. “I said, ‘This better be worth it,’” Smith recalled, but added that it turned out to be an amazing experience. Kelce was quick to add, “She had you singing along the second time? Ain’t that something?” and shared a laugh with Smith.
When asked if being in a relationship with Swift has helped his performance on the field, Kelce responded by saying it’s given him even more focus on his job. “I think I’m as focused as I’ve ever been,” he said, “because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.”
Kelce also revealed how he supports Swift in her work, even when it comes to her creative process. While he won’t interrupt her, he’s always there to cheer her on. “I’m here to support it, I’m here to see where it can go,” he said with pride.
Overall, it’s clear that Kelce values the balance his relationship with Swift brings to his life, allowing him to perform at his best while also offering his full support to the music icon.
