In Hall County, Georgia, three suspects are behind bars following a raid at Town Creek Apartment Homes on Washington Street in Gainesville. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, supported by the SWAT team, carried out the operation on January 14.
Here’s what happened:
Deputies searched the apartment and found a large stash of illegal drugs with a street value estimated at nearly $40,000. Along with the drugs, they also seized cash, a gun, and two vehicles.
The suspects arrested in the raid were identified as Jytavious Darquale Collins, 35, and Joshua Montavious Collins, 36, both from Gainesville, along with Sheila Dianne Pressley, 33, from Cornelia. They are facing a long list of serious felony charges related to drug possession and trafficking and are currently being held in jail without bond.
This is how the events unfolded:
Back in September 2024, the Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation targeting the suspects. After months of work, the SWAT team executed a search warrant early on January 14, 2025, around 7:30 a.m. The operation led to the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of drugs, cash, firearms, and vehicles.
Here’s a breakdown of what was seized during the raid:
- 76 ounces of cocaine
- 75 grams of MDMA
- 22 grams of fentanyl
- 4 bottles of promethazine codeine
- Over 4 pounds of processed marijuana
- 5 alprazolam tablets
The total street value of the drugs was calculated at $39,950. Additionally, officers found $857 in cash, a Glock 43 handgun, and two vehicles.
Sheriff Gerald Couch shared his thoughts on the operation, saying, “These suspects had been on our radar for several months, so it was a relief to get them behind bars. Our team worked tirelessly to come up with a solid plan to make this happen. On Tuesday, they executed that plan perfectly, and I couldn’t be prouder of their dedication.”
As for the charges, here’s what each suspect is facing:
Jytavious Darquale Collins:
- Multiple charges for possession and trafficking of cocaine, MDMA, fentanyl, marijuana, promethazine codeine, and alprazolam
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Joshua Montavious Collins:
- Trafficking and possession of MDMA and fentanyl
- Possession and intent to distribute marijuana
- Possession of promethazine codeine
Sheila Dianne Pressley:
- Charges for possession and trafficking of cocaine
- Possession and intent to distribute marijuana
Currently, all three remain in jail without bond as they await their next court appearance. Investigators are continuing to work on the case to uncover any other possible connections to the operation.
