BUTLER COUNTY, Mo.— Two individuals were hospitalized following a crash involving a pickup truck and a side-by-side on the afternoon of January 15 in Butler County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident occurred around 2:25 p.m. on Missouri Highway 51 near Brosley. The crash report states that a 14-year-old driver from Brosley was operating a side-by-side, traveling southbound, when the vehicle crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a northbound pickup truck.
The 14-year-old, who sustained serious injuries in the crash, had to be transported by ambulance to a designated location to meet Air Evac for further medical attention. As of the latest information, the teen’s condition remains unknown.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as a 41-year-old man from Brosley, also suffered injuries in the crash. MSHP reports that the man was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
