In a heartbreaking incident Sunday evening, a stabbing in a South Loop apartment building has left one person dead and another seriously injured.
At 8:50 PM, police were called to the 1500 block of South Wabash Avenue, where they first discovered a 50-year-old man with cuts on his arm and head injuries. He was quickly rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is currently in serious condition.
Sadly, the officers also found another man, believed to be in his 40s, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, police are not sharing any details about what led to the stabbing or if anyone else was involved. As of Sunday night, no arrests have been made, and detectives from the Belmont Area are working to uncover the truth.
