Two homeowners in Texas were left frightened after an unknown person showed up outside their home wearing a satanic mask and holding a sign with a Bible verse about the apocalypse. The strange incident took place in Carrollton, a suburb north of Dallas, around 8 p.m. on a Saturday. The homeowners captured the unsettling encounter on their doorbell camera.
In the footage, the mysterious person is seen wearing all black, a red mask with horns, and holding a cardboard sign. The sign had the Bible verse “REVELATION 20:1-15,” which describes the end of the world and how believers will go to heaven, while nonbelievers will face eternal punishment.
The homeowner, clearly shaken, told the news outlet, “I’m scared. I’m scared to leave the house. I’m scared to be at the house.” She said the verse on the sign made her think of “the end of times” and “judgment day,” adding, “I freaked out. I couldn’t even think of anything.”
When no one answered the door, the masked person moved to the back of the house, standing on the driveway while holding the sign. After waiting for a moment, the individual rang the doorbell again and then knocked. Still, no one answered. The person then walked around to the back of the house and stood there.
The homeowners, who had been out for dinner and buying a Powerball ticket, were unsure of who the masked person was or what their intentions were. The Carrollton Police Department confirmed that the person hadn’t been seen anywhere else in the neighborhood and had not committed any crime. However, they are keeping an eye on the area to ensure no similar incidents occur.
The police urged locals to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious. Neighbors, too, are on alert, unsure whether the individual was playing a prank or had a darker motive. One neighbor, Scott Geairn, shared that they mostly know each other in the community and described it as a friendly place, making the event even more unsettling.
Now, the neighborhood is left wondering what this mysterious visitor really wanted.
