On Wednesday, February 5, police in Portage, Indiana, announced in a press release that recently found remains in the city were positively identified as Orton’s. Portage is located about 40 miles from Chicago.
Orton was reported missing in the summer of 2020 from Cressmoor Mobile Home Park in Hobart, Indiana, which is approximately seven miles from where her remains were found. However, law enforcement has not provided specific details regarding the circumstances of the discovery.
