The Bartlett Police Department has confirmed the arrest of one of its officers, 31-year-old Hunter Kissinger, who has been charged with sexual battery. The incident was reported on February 9, 2025, when BPD was informed that an off-duty officer had been accused of inappropriate conduct.
According to an affidavit, officers responded to a complaint at Sinister Tattoo, a tattoo shop on Stage Road. A man at the scene alleged that Kissinger had harassed him and engaged in unwanted sexual contact. The victim stated that Kissinger touched his thigh multiple times and grabbed his groin while making an inappropriate comment.
Following the complaint, Kissinger voluntarily went to the police station and admitted to being involved in an incident with the victim. However, he claimed that he did not recall making any inappropriate remarks. Investigators conducted a six-person photo lineup, in which the victim positively identified Kissinger as the suspect. As a result, he was taken into custody.
The tattoo shop, Sinister Tattoo, provided video footage of the incident to Action News 5, though details of the video have not been publicly disclosed.
Kissinger has since been released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. The Bartlett Police Department has acknowledged the situation and released a statement regarding the officer’s arrest. However, no additional information has been provided at this time.
