Man Charged with Elder Abuse in Lenoir County, Authorities Say

A man in Lenoir County, North Carolina, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting an elderly woman, according to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to a domestic assault call on Friday at a residence located on Highway 55 West. Upon arrival, authorities found that an elderly woman had sustained injuries from the reported attack. Among her injuries was a deep cut on her arm.

The suspect, identified as 67-year-old Anthony Harris, was taken into custody following the investigation. Authorities charged Harris with felony abuse of an elder with injury as well as assault on a female. These charges indicate the severity of the incident and the potential risk posed to the victim.

Following his arrest, Harris was transported to the Lenoir County Jail.
