A teenager from Katy, Texas, who had been missing for almost two weeks, has been found safe, according to authorities.
The good news was first shared by the Texas Center for the Missing on their social media account. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez also confirmed that the 15-year-old girl is now with investigators.
The teenager was last seen in the early hours of December 13, when she reportedly sneaked out of her home in Katy. Over the following days, she stayed in touch with her family through email, but by December 15, all communication had stopped. The last clue about her whereabouts came when she was reportedly seen using a stranger’s phone charger at a Starbucks.
Over the weekend, her parents shared their hopes and prayers with a media outlet, saying they were holding on to the hope that their daughter would be found safe before Christmas. Tonight, their prayers have been answered.
The entire community had been anxious about the teen’s safety, and this update brings much-needed relief. Now, with the help of investigators, the focus shifts to understanding what happened during the time she was missing and ensuring her well-being.
