A drug bust in Duplin County resulted in the arrests of four individuals following a search conducted by the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence located at 448 Jackson Store Road near Beulaville, where they discovered crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and various drug-related paraphernalia.
Kenneth Pope was taken into custody and placed under a $50,000 bond. He faces multiple charges, including one felony count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, one felony count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance, and one felony count of possession of methamphetamine. Additionally, he was charged with one felony count of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for a controlled substance. Misdemeanor charges against Pope include one count of simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Cathy Caldens was also arrested and placed under a $25,000 bond. She faces one felony count of possession of methamphetamine, along with three misdemeanor charges: one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce, and one count of possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Hazel Griffin was taken into custody with a bond set at $25,000. She faces similar charges, including one felony count of possession of methamphetamine, one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Clarence Griffin was also arrested and placed under a $25,000 bond. He faces the same charges as Hazel Griffin, including one felony count of possession of methamphetamine, one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
All four individuals were transported to the Duplin County Jail following their arrests. The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.
