Elon Musk’s influence has been spreading far beyond just his companies, and lately, it seems like he’s stirring up trouble in ways that are hard to ignore. Steve Bannon, a key figure in the political scene, has made it clear that he wants to see Musk “kicked out” before Trump’s inauguration on January 20th, ensuring Musk doesn’t get any VIP access to the White House. It’s safe to say, Bannon isn’t holding back!
One of the things Bannon criticized was Musk’s support for a visa program that lets companies like SpaceX and Tesla hire skilled workers from outside the U.S. This move has created a bit of a rift, especially between the far-right MAGA crowd and Trump’s tech supporters. In the end, Trump decided to back Musk’s stance on the issue.
Bannon didn’t stop there, though. He made a controversial comment, questioning why Musk, born in South Africa, has a say in U.S. matters. “Why should we care about the opinions of white South Africans?” Bannon asked, sparking even more tension.
As for Musk’s goals? According to Bannon, it’s all about the money and power. “His focus is on becoming a trillionaire,” Bannon said. “He’ll do whatever it takes to protect his businesses and make more money. For him, wealth equals power.”
Musk’s political moves haven’t gone unnoticed either. Recently, he made waves in Europe with comments about British politics. On January 2nd, he criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, even calling for a general election in the U.K. He also declared that only the Reform UK party, led by Nigel Farage, could “save” the country. His remarks didn’t stop there; he went on to call for Starmer’s imprisonment and the release of far-right activist Tommy Robinson.
Things got even hotter when British politicians started urging Trump to reconsider his relationship with Musk, especially after his political comments kept getting more extreme. French President Emmanuel Macron also took aim at Musk, accusing him of meddling in European politics and supporting a “reactionary movement” globally.
“Who would’ve thought 10 years ago that the owner of a major social media platform would support a reactionary movement and interfere in elections?” Macron said, questioning Musk’s growing global influence.
With all this happening, it’s clear Musk’s actions are causing quite a stir—both politically and globally. The question is: is he overstepping? Or is this just the next chapter in his quest for power? Only time will tell.
