Barricade Situation in Sikeston: Two Taken into Custody After Police Standoff

Two individuals are in custody following an incident involving a barricaded subject inside a Sikeston home in Scott County, Missouri. On Wednesday, February 5, around 2:15 p.m., deputies and detectives from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office were actively searching for Aaron D. Brown, a Sikeston resident with an outstanding felony warrant.

The search led authorities to a vehicle parked in front of a residence in the 600 block of Greer Street in Sikeston. The sheriff’s office reported that Brown and another person were seated in the vehicle, apparently preparing to leave the area. When a deputy pulled up behind the vehicle and activated emergency lights, Brown exited the vehicle and fled into the home. The deputy pursued him inside.
