Aaron Goodwin, best known for his role on Ghost Adventures, is leaning on his fans after a shocking revelation about his estranged wife, Victoria Goodwin. In a heartfelt Instagram post on March 22, the 48-year-old TV star expressed his gratitude, writing, “Thank you everyone for all the love and support through this emotionally trying time. It has really helped a lot and I appreciate you all.”
The post came just weeks after Victoria, 32, was arrested on March 6 in Clark County, Nevada. She faces serious charges for allegedly plotting to have Aaron killed. According to police reports, Victoria had been in contact with a convicted murderer, Grant Amato, who is currently serving time in a Florida prison. Investigators discovered messages between the two, discussing a plan to take Aaron’s life.
Victoria allegedly gave Amato details about Aaron’s location and filming schedule, making it easier for him to carry out the plot. Authorities also claim she set aside over $11,500 for the job and discussed sending a $2,500 down payment. In one chilling message, she reportedly wrote, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Another message, allegedly sent while Aaron was asleep in a hotel room, read, “I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update? Was it done?”
Victoria was arrested and held on a $100,000 bail. She appeared in court on March 11, where she denied wanting Aaron dead or plotting his murder. According to police, she claimed she didn’t remember sending the messages and believed the money was for purchasing cell phones. However, she did admit that her marriage to Aaron had been rocky.
Once Aaron learned about the alleged plot, he immediately filed for divorce. In his legal filing, his attorneys stated that the couple’s differences had become impossible to overcome. “There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife,” the complaint read.
Aaron and Victoria had been together since at least 2018. They got engaged the following year, but their wedding was postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Authorities became aware of the alleged murder-for-hire scheme after prison officials discovered a smuggled phone that Amato had been using. The investigation into the case is still ongoing.
