A single-vehicle crash in Ripley County, Missouri, left a man and a 9-year-old boy injured on Sunday, February 9. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, the accident occurred around 4:35 p.m. on Highway T, approximately two miles south of U.S. Highway 160.
The crash involved a 2002 Ford Ranger traveling southbound when it veered off the left side of the roadway and collided with a tree. The driver, identified as a 41-year-old man from Naylor, sustained minor injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A 9-year-old male passenger, also from Naylor, suffered serious injuries in the crash. Emergency responders arranged for a survival flight to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau to provide urgent medical care.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that both the driver and the child were wearing appropriate safety devices at the time of the crash. Authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of the accident or the current medical conditions of the individuals involved.
