Police in Colorado are actively searching for a missing man who disappeared nearly two weeks ago after visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating 31-year-old Jordan Marsters, a Denver resident who has not been heard from since February 13, according to a statement from the National Park Service.
Marsters was known to be traveling through Grand Junction on February 11 and was in Montrose on February 12. His last confirmed locations were in Montrose on both February 12 and 13, and at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park on the morning of February 13 at approximately 7:20 a.m. It remains unclear how long he intended to stay in the area.
Authorities describe Marsters as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket and a black hoodie. Police have also identified the vehicle he was driving as a white Kia Forte rental car with Texas license plate “TXH4349.”
The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office and park officials are urging anyone who may have seen Marsters or had contact with him in the days leading up to his disappearance to reach out to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. They are particularly interested in any information regarding his movements or interactions before February 13.
Authorities continue to search the national park and surrounding areas in hopes of finding any clues regarding his whereabouts. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and officials are working to gather as much information as possible.
Anyone with information about Jordan Marsters is asked to contact law enforcement immediately to assist in the ongoing search efforts.
