A shocking new video has surfaced this week showing a drunk tourist in Miami Beach, Florida, going on a racist rant and attacking a bartender—an incident that got him arrested last month. The surveillance footage captures 42-year-old Michael Nixon from Virginia hurling anti-Hispanic insults at a bartender, even telling him, “F—ing Trump is going to deport your a–.” Police are treating the incident as a hate crime.

The video, which was shared by local media, shows Nixon angrily shouting at the bartender. “F— you, I’m American!” he yells. “America—English, b—-! English!” He repeats his demand that the bartender speak English and goes on to say, “F—ing Trump’s going to deport your ass. … You f—ing Cuban b—-.”

This incident happened at Norman’s Tavern, located at 6770 Collins Ave. in North Beach, Miami Beach, where Nixon had been drinking on the night of January 19. According to police, he had racked up a tab of $130.81, and when the bartender asked him to pay, he became aggressive. “I won’t pay s—,” Nixon allegedly said. “English, motherf—er. I live in America. You speak English.”

The situation quickly escalated. Surveillance footage shows Nixon exchanging heated words with the bartender and another employee before punching one of them in the face. As his behavior grew more aggressive, staff decided to let him leave to prevent further violence, according to the police report.

But just as he was walking out, Nixon deliberately shoved his left shoulder into the bartender, the report states. The video appears to show this moment, followed by the bartender reacting by striking Nixon in the face.

Miami Beach police arrived shortly after the bar staff called for help. They found Nixon outside and arrested him on several charges, including felony battery with prejudice, as well as misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, defrauding an innkeeper, and disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $5,450, and as of Thursday, his case was still pending.

The incident comes at a time when immigration enforcement has been ramped up, following a national emergency declaration at the U.S.-Mexico border. Nixon’s remarks about deportation, along with his violent actions, are now under legal scrutiny as authorities take hate crimes more seriously.

For now, Nixon remains in legal trouble, and the shocking video of his racist outburst continues to make rounds online, sparking outrage and conversations about racism and discrimination in the country.
