EXCLUSIVE: Woman Caught in Broomfield with $1,000 in Stolen Goods and Fentanyl

Broomfield, Colo. – A 44-year-old woman was arrested in Broomfield on Friday evening after police discovered nearly $1,000 in stolen merchandise and fentanyl in her possession.

Officers responded to a call from employees at Dick’s Sporting Goods at Flatiron Crossing. Store staff reported hearing suspicious noises from a fitting room, where the suspect was allegedly using tools to remove security sensors from items.

Upon arrival, police confronted the woman and found stolen merchandise from multiple stores hidden in her belongings. A further search also revealed fentanyl, a dangerous and highly potent opioid. She was taken into custody on multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance and theft.

The suspect was booked into the Broomfield Detention Center, though police have yet to release her identity. Authorities have not confirmed if she was acting alone or as part of a larger theft operation.
