Famous YouTuber’s Qatar Escape Ends in Arrest Over Shocking Kidnapping Case

A YouTuber from Texas, Corey Pritchett Jr., is back in the U.S. and behind bars after facing some serious charges. The 26-year-old from Houston was accused of abducting two women and taking them on a terrifying high-speed car ride before fleeing to Qatar to avoid the authorities. Now, he’s in custody and waiting for his next court date.

Here’s what happened: On November 24, Corey allegedly met the two women online and later in person at a gym in the Houston area. They spent the day hanging out with his friends, working out, riding ATVs, and even going bowling. But things took a dark turn when it was time for the women to go home.

Instead of dropping them off, Corey allegedly drove in the opposite direction on Interstate 10, heading west toward San Antonio, at what the women described as over 100 mph. Prosecutors say he then pulled out a gold-colored handgun, started waving it around and firing shots out of the car’s sunroof. He even threatened the women, at one point saying, “I’m going to f*** y’all and then kill y’all.” The situation was so chaotic that the women tried to calm him down by suggesting they pray together. Surprisingly, Corey agreed and led the prayer, but he didn’t stop speeding.

Eventually, Corey let the women out on the side of the highway, reportedly telling them, “This is your only opportunity.” The two were later found by deputies near a weigh station in the Brookshire area, after a local resident spotted them walking along the road and called 911.

After the incident, Corey fled to Qatar, but he didn’t stay away for long. He was taken into custody on January 17 and charged with aggravated kidnapping. According to Harris County court records, he’s being held on a $100,000 bond and is set to appear in court soon.

Court documents show that Corey has no listed income or assets and has requested a public defender. He described himself as a self-employed content creator who has been making videos on YouTube for nearly a decade. Across his two channels—one for personal content and another for family-focused videos with his wife and two kids—he has over 5 million subscribers.

Corey has been vocal about his legal troubles on social media. Before deleting his Instagram account, he posted about the accusations, insisting on his innocence. In one post from earlier this month, he wrote, “You see it say ACCUSED, right.”

As of now, Corey remains in jail, and the case is unfolding. It’s a shocking turn of events for someone known for making comedic videos, music, and lifestyle vlogs. Many of his fans are left wondering what happens next.
