Georgia Man Suffers Fatal Heart Attack After Confronting Armed Car Burglary Suspects

An Atlanta family is grieving after a man died during a tense encounter with suspected car burglars. Javon Brown, a husband and father, suffered a fatal heart attack following the confrontation early on January 17.

It all began around 4:30 a.m. when Javon and his wife, Tasha Brown, were startled awake by the sound of their car alarm. Peeking out the window, they saw someone trying to break into Javon’s truck. Determined to protect his property, Javon grabbed his gun and headed outside to scare the suspects away.

“He was able to talk to me after it happened,” Tasha shared with Fox 5 Atlanta. “But then the shock got to him. He collapsed right there. I tried CPR until I couldn’t feel my arms, but it wasn’t enough.”

When police arrived at the scene, they found Javon unresponsive at his doorway. Their investigation revealed no physical trauma, confirming that the heart attack had been brought on by the emotional stress of the encounter. The suspects fled the scene and remain unidentified.

Neighbors recalled hearing the gunshots and expressed shock over the tragic turn of events. Meanwhile, Tasha is left heartbroken, describing how a moment of bravery cost her husband his life.
