Gunfire at Rocky Mount Market: Police Identify Three Shooting Victims

The Rocky Mount Police Department has identified the victims in a triple shooting that occurred on Saturday night at a food market on East Raleigh Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the scene at Friendly Way, 1616 East Raleigh Blvd, just before 11:00 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to investigators, 27-year-old Ty’Quean Sharpe and 35-year-old Jotavian Wilkins succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim, 29-year-old Keymon Ervin, was transported to the hospital for treatment. He has since been released after receiving medical care for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not yet provided details regarding a suspect or motive behind the shooting. The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading to the violent incident.
