In Roswell, Georgia, police are still searching for a man they believe is responsible for a tragic murder on Christmas Eve. This heartbreaking case unfolded near Azalea Drive and Atlanta Street, close to the Chattahoochee River, when a passerby spotted a body in a ditch and called the authorities.
When officers arrived, they found 47-year-old Blanca Sauer, a resident of Sandy Springs, who had been shot. Investigators say her body was abandoned in the area after the attack.
Roswell Police Chief James Conroy expressed his condolences to Sauer’s family, calling the crime “a senseless act of targeted violence.” He also assured the community that the department is dedicated to finding justice for Sauer and her loved ones.
As the investigation progressed, police identified 49-year-old Roberto Dominguez Soto as the suspect. Dominguez Soto, who was Sauer’s boyfriend, is now on the run. He’s described as Hispanic, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, and weighing about 170 pounds. Authorities warn that he’s considered armed and dangerous.
Adding to the urgency, Dominguez Soto is also wanted by Interpol for charges related to firearm possession. Despite weeks of searching, police have yet to locate him.

In a fundraiser set up to honor her memory, Sauer is remembered as an entrepreneur who built her own restaurant from the ground up. She was known for her generosity, often helping people in need and even feeding homeless individuals who came to her restaurant.
Her family also shared that Sauer loved hiking and taking photographs. Her stepdaughter, Kelsie Adams, said she was “an open, loving, and accepting woman.”
The fundraiser, organized by Erika Padierna, has raised over $10,000 to support the family. Padierna described Sauer as someone who “never gave up on her dreams” and always treated people with respect.
This devastating loss has shaken the community, especially during the holiday season. The search for Dominguez Soto continues, and the Roswell Police Department is determined to bring him to justice.
