Two Broward deputies ended up in the hospital after a dramatic high-speed chase following an armed robbery on Thursday morning. Here’s how it all unfolded.
Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office were keeping an eye on a robbery suspect during a surveillance operation in Hollywood, Florida. Things took a sharp turn when they spotted the suspect, and a chase broke out.
As the suspect tried to make a getaway, they crashed into two Broward Sheriff’s vehicles, sparking a chaotic pursuit that ended near 20821 State Road 7 in Miami Gardens. Thankfully, deputies were able to catch and arrest the individual, whose name hasn’t been released yet.
The impact from the suspect’s car was serious enough to send two deputies to the hospital. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue stepped in and took them for medical treatment.
The investigation is still ongoing, but the quick action of law enforcement ensured the suspect was taken into custody. The community can breathe a little easier knowing the situation is under control.
