In a heartbreaking incident, Honolulu police are searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run that happened in Kalihi earlier this year. The accident took place on N. Kuakini Street around 3:30 a.m. on October 3, leaving a man dead.
Authorities have identified the victim as Nathan Higa. According to their report, Higa was lying in the road when he was hit by what police believe to be a white pickup truck with a camper shell. Tragically, the driver did not stop to help or share any information before leaving the scene. Higa was pronounced dead right there.
The police have now shared a photo of the suspected vehicle in hopes of finding more clues. They’re urging anyone who might have information about this incident to step forward and contact the Honolulu Police Department’s Traffic Division at (808) 723-3413.
If you know something, no matter how small it may seem, please reach out. Your help could make a big difference in finding justice for Nathan Higa and his loved ones.
