Laura Loomer, a vocal Trump supporter and far-right activist, is making waves as she calls on former President Donald Trump to step in against what she claims is censorship by billionaire Elon Musk on his social media platform, X.
In a fiery post on Wednesday, Loomer shared her frustration:
“It’s outrageous. I worked tirelessly to help President Trump get elected, and now I’m being censored, retaliated against, and financially targeted as an independent journalist by one of his own administration officials.”
Her accusations against Musk, who leads Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE), stem from a clash over immigration policy. Musk recently voiced his support for the H-1B work visa program, a move that ruffled feathers among some conservative activists, including Loomer.
The Fallout
Loomer claims that after speaking out against Musk’s stance on immigration, her account faced restrictions on X. She says access to premium features like verification and monetization—key sources of income for her independent journalism—were taken away.
“I’ve been a champion for the MAGA base, using my account to defend President Trump and expose political corruption. Now, I’m being punished,” she wrote.
Loomer explained that her subscription revenue, funded by supporters who value her work, is essential to her livelihood:
“It’s not Elon’s money—it’s my supporters’ hard-earned contributions. Stripping me of this income is greedy, unethical, and downright un-American.”
A Call for Action
In her post, Loomer didn’t hold back, calling Musk’s actions a form of “retaliatory censorship” that undermines free speech. She emphasized the personal toll, saying:
“This has gone on for a month now with no resolution. It’s a slap in the face after everything I’ve done to help President Trump and his team.”
She also raised a broader concern:
“If they can do this to me—someone who worked so hard and remained so loyal—they can do it to anyone.”
