In a shocking and violent incident on Sunday night, a man was critically injured after being stabbed inside an apartment building on the Near West Side of Chicago. The attack occurred around 11:32 p.m. in the 2000-block of West Jackson Boulevard.
According to Chicago police, the 41-year-old victim got into a heated verbal argument with a 56-year-old man in the hallway of the apartment complex. During the dispute, the older man pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in both the neck and back before fleeing the scene.
The injured man was quickly transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.
