Michael Lohan Arrested for Assault After Allegedly Flipping Kate Major

Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has been arrested in Texas on a domestic violence charge. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the incident involved his estranged wife, Kate Major. Authorities reported that Major was at a medical appointment on February 21 when she noticed Michael in the parking lot. Concerned that he was following her, she called 911.

Major later informed deputies that Michael had physically assaulted her at their residence a few days earlier, flipping her out of a chair. A female deputy observed bruising on her body, supporting her claims. Deputies located Michael at his residence later that day, where he was arrested without incident. He is currently being held on a charge of Continuous Family Violence with a $30,000 bond.

This is not the first time Michael Lohan has faced legal trouble related to domestic violence. In 2020, he was arrested in Southampton, New York, for allegedly assaulting Major. At the time, police stated that he had been verbally and physically abusive during an incident at a residence.

Michael and Kate Major got engaged in 2010 and married in 2014. However, their relationship has been marked by legal issues and domestic disputes. Major filed for divorce in 2018 and sought sole custody of their two sons, Landon and Logan. The filing came a month after she was arrested for allegedly throwing a candle at Michael, causing a cut on his arm. Florida prosecutors ultimately did not pursue charges, citing a lack of sufficient evidence.

Prior to his marriage to Major, Michael Lohan was married to Dina Lohan from 1985 to 2007. Together, they share four children: Lindsay, Michael Jr., Aliana, and Dakota.

Authorities have not yet released additional details on Michael’s current legal situation, and his representatives have not provided a statement.
