‘Operation Heartbreaker’ Strikes: Authorities Arrest 11 in Onslow County

Onslow County deputies conducted a significant drug bust on Valentine’s Day, known as “Operation Heartbreaker,” which led to the arrest of 11 individuals. The operation, carried out by the sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit in collaboration with other state agencies, focused on drug-related crimes involving methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine.

Akeem McQueen, 35, from Jacksonville, faces multiple felony charges, including three counts of trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, manufacturing methamphetamine, and possession of a stolen firearm. He also faces a felony charge for possessing a firearm as a felon and a misdemeanor charge for marijuana possession. His secured bond is set at $172,500, and he remains in the Onslow County Jail.

Amber Midgett, 37, from Sneads Ferry, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She is in the Onslow County Jail without bond.

Amy Bramlett, 40, from Holly Ridge, is facing felony charges for selling and delivering a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for drug activity, and possession with intent to sell or distribute. She also has a misdemeanor charge for possessing drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Onslow County Jail without bond.

Theresa Smith, 46, from Maysville, was charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Robert Rochelle, 38, from Jacksonville, is charged with a felony probation violation and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. He remains in the Onslow County Jail without bond.

William Badger, 32, from Jacksonville, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His secured bond is set at $10,000.

Jesse Carr, 32, from Swansboro, faces a misdemeanor charge of resisting a public officer. He was given no bond.

William Lugo, 34, from Sneads Ferry, faces multiple felony charges, including possession, sale, and delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance, manufacturing methamphetamine, and conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine. He was placed in the Onslow County Jail with a secured bond of $150,000.

Lani Phillips, 33, from Jacksonville, was charged with a felony probation violation and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. His secured bond is $13,000.

Rodney Hurst, 21, from Hubert, faces a felony probation violation charge and remains in the Onslow County Jail with a $10,000 secured bond.

Tyler Taylor, 33, from Swansboro, was charged with felony possession of heroin, felony larceny, and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods. He was given no bond.
