Rudy Giuliani Faces Court Drama Over Property Handovers

Rudy Giuliani, once known as “America’s Mayor,” is back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. As he prepares to return to a Manhattan courtroom, he’s asking a judge to cut him some slack and avoid holding him in contempt.

The drama centers on Giuliani’s failure to hand over property to two election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, whom he falsely accused of election tampering after the 2020 presidential race. These women won a $148 million defamation case against him, and now Giuliani is supposed to transfer some of his assets to them. But the handover hasn’t been smooth.

Giuliani insists he’s complied with court orders, turning over items like a 1980 Mercedes convertible, watches, a diamond ring, and access to his penthouse (though, awkwardly, without keys). Still, Freeman and Moss’s lawyers argue he’s far from done, with major items like property titles and keys still missing.

Adding fuel to the fire, Giuliani claims the women can’t legally act as receivers because they missed a procedural step. Meanwhile, the judge has grown impatient, warning Giuliani that excuses won’t cut it anymore.

The stakes are high: Giuliani could face contempt charges or even jail time if the judge decides he hasn’t done enough. With back-to-back court hearings lined up in January, this saga is far from over.

Once a hero, Giuliani now finds himself navigating the fallout of his false claims—and the consequences are getting tougher by the day.
