SHOCKING: Brother’s Tip-Off Leads to Murder Suspect’s Arrest in Ocean Springs

Ocean Springs, Miss. – A Louisiana murder suspect was arrested in Ocean Springs after his own brother tipped off police, following disturbing voice messages that hinted at a gruesome crime.

Ian Seghers, wanted for the alleged murder of his stepfather, Walter ‘Keith’ Rowland, was taken into custody after his brother, Sean Crawford, alerted authorities. Crawford became suspicious when Seghers sent him chilling messages, saying, “I put a hammer in my pants and walked up in there to do it.”

Realizing the connection between his stepfather’s disappearance and Seghers’ messages, Crawford contacted Ocean Springs Police, revealing Seghers’ location. However, Seghers fled into nearby woods before officers could apprehend him.

The next day, after tracking his phone, police and SWAT surrounded the neighborhood. A K-9 unit eventually located Seghers hiding in a shed. He was arrested without incident.

The investigation also revealed Seghers allegedly borrowed a shovel days earlier, claiming he needed to bury a dog. Although his stepfather’s body remains missing, Crawford has started a GoFundMe to fund a private search.

Seghers is now in custody, awaiting extradition to Louisiana to face charges.
