Bloomington Police and the McLean County Coroner’s Office are investigating the deaths of four individuals who were found inside a home late Sunday morning on the city’s near northwest side. Authorities have not disclosed the cause of death or whether any suspects are involved.
According to a statement from the Bloomington Police Department, officers responded to a call around 11 a.m. in the 900 block of North Lee Street, near Bent Elementary School. Upon arrival, they discovered four people deceased inside the residence. The McLean County Coroner’s Office pronounced all four victims dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the names of the deceased, as they are working to notify the victims’ families. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Law enforcement officials assured the public that this is an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
In a statement, Bloomington Police Chief Jamal Simington expressed condolences to the victims’ loved ones. He emphasized that detectives are continuing their investigation in an effort to provide answers for both the victims’ families and the community.
