Social Media Star’s Dark Secret: High-Speed Chase, Kidnapping, and a Frantic Escape Overseas

Houston-based social media star Corey Pritchett Jr., a popular YouTuber with a huge following, is facing serious charges of aggravated kidnapping. Court documents reveal a disturbing story involving two women, a high-speed chase, and even death threats.

Corey, known for his Life With CoreySSG YouTube channel with over 917,000 subscribers and millions of followers across social media, allegedly abducted two women, threatened them, and later fled the country.

One of the women told investigators she first met Corey on November 22, 2024, and they exchanged numbers. The next day, she and another woman met Corey for what started as a friendly hangout. They went for a workout, rode ATVs, and later hit a bowling alley.

Things took a strange turn at the bowling alley when Corey and his two male friends started acting uneasy, constantly looking around as if they were worried about something. The women overheard that Corey and his friends were dealing with some issues involving another group at the alley. Feeling uneasy, one of the women suggested Corey and his friends leave if they couldn’t act normal.

Corey stepped outside with his friends, leaving the women behind. After waiting for a long time, the women texted Corey to retrieve their belongings, which were in his car. Corey told them to meet him at an HEB parking lot nearby. Once there, Corey offered to drive the women home, and they agreed.

But instead of heading to their destination, Corey started driving erratically on Interstate 10, speeding at over 100 mph. He appeared paranoid, claiming someone was after him, and made frantic calls. At one point, he pulled out a gold handgun, waved it out of the sunroof, and fired shots into the air.

During the chaotic drive, Corey reportedly video-called another woman and asked if he should harm the two passengers. The woman on the call allegedly encouraged him. The victims said Corey also threatened to harm and kill them, further escalating their fear. When they tried to communicate through text, Corey took their phones to stop them.

Eventually, Corey stopped on the shoulder of I-10 near Sealy, Texas. He ordered the women out of the car, warning them this was their only chance to escape. When one woman tried to grab her phone, she failed, and Corey sped off, leaving them stranded on the dark highway.

The women walked for over an hour along the roadside before they flagged down a passing driver, who helped them call 911. Deputies from Waller County arrived to assist them.

Using GPS data from one woman’s Life 360 app, investigators confirmed their story, with screenshots and timestamps showing the route Corey had taken. The police later identified Corey through his driver’s license and social media profiles. When they tried to contact him, his phone was disconnected.

The investigation also involved Corey’s ex-wife, Carmen Pritchett, a social media influencer herself with over 5 million Instagram followers. Authorities eventually discovered Corey had posted on TikTok and Instagram, announcing he was leaving the country to start a new life in Dubai.

On December 9, 2024, the FBI confirmed Corey had purchased a one-way ticket and fled to Qatar. Law enforcement is now working to bring him back to the United States to face the charges.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Corey’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in the investigation.
