PORTLAND, Ore. – A morning drive turned into a tense situation when two people were taken to the hospital after an incident involving a stolen car.
Around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, police officers noticed a car reported as stolen near Northwest Front Avenue and 61st Avenue. As soon as officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver hit the gas and sped off.
According to police, they decided not to pursue the car, likely prioritizing safety for everyone on the road. However, the situation didn’t end there. Shortly after fleeing, the occupants of the car ended up needing medical attention and were taken to the hospital.
