Kadarius Toney, a two-time Super Bowl champion and NFL wide receiver, was arrested last week in Georgia on charges of aggravated assault. Authorities say he allegedly attacked a woman, leaving visible injuries.
According to an arrest warrant, Toney is accused of choking the woman so forcefully that it left red marks on her neck and caused bleeding in her eyes. Another warrant claims he also tried to stop her from calling 911 by taking her phone and canceling voice commands for emergency help while assaulting her.
The incident reportedly happened on January 14 at Toney’s home in Douglasville, Georgia. The next day, police issued warrants for his arrest. He was taken into custody on February 6 and booked into the Douglas County Jail. His bond was set at $25,000 for each charge, and records show he was released by February 7.
TMZ was the first to report the arrest.
Toney, who has played for multiple teams in the NFL, was most recently with the Kansas City Chiefs, winning back-to-back Super Bowls in 2023 and 2024. Before that, he played for the New York Giants and had a brief stint with the Cleveland Browns last season.
As of now, Toney has not made any public statements about the situation.
