Man with Outstanding Warrants Arrested After Turning Himself In – Enfield, N.C.
Enfield, N.C. – The Enfield Police Department has reported the arrest of a man with outstanding warrants after he voluntarily turned himself in to authorities.
According to police officials, Douglas Silver was taken into custody on Tuesday in the vicinity of Bell Street and US 301 in Enfield. Captain Shoemaker of the Enfield Police Department was responsible for the arrest following Silver’s surrender.
Authorities say that Silver turned himself in after being confronted by Capt. Shoemaker regarding his outstanding warrants. Prior to his arrest, Silver had been wanted on charges of Misdemeanor Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property. The nature of the alleged offenses has not been disclosed in detail at this time.
Due to Silver having a pending case, he was not granted a bond at the time of his arrest. Following his apprehension, he was transported to the Halifax County Detention Center, where he is currently being held. Officials say that Silver is awaiting a bond hearing before a judge, who will determine the conditions of his release, if any.
