Rapid City police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a shooting that occurred on January 11 near Curtis Street.
The suspect, identified as Terell Weston, was taken into custody after officers searched his apartment on North Lacrosse Street. Police had a warrant to search the property, and during their investigation, they found a handgun. Upon further inspection, they discovered that the gun had been reported stolen.
Weston is now facing several charges, including reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of stolen property, and violating his probation.
Authorities continue to investigate the case, and they are encouraging anyone with additional information to come forward.
