In Spartanburg, South Carolina, an early morning drive-by shooting shook a quiet neighborhood on Collins Avenue. The Spartanburg Police Department shared that officers were called to a home around 2 a.m. on Tuesday after the unsettling incident.
A mother and her daughter, who were fast asleep, woke up to the startling sound of gunfire. When they checked, they discovered that a window in the son’s bedroom had been damaged. Inside the room, police later found a bullet lying on a bed.
Outside the house, investigators came across several nine-millimeter shell casings. Unfortunately, the mother didn’t see any vehicle or person in the area when the shots were fired.
Police have taken the bullet and shell casings as evidence and are continuing their investigation into what happened.
