Two men were shot, one of them tragically losing his life, in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood of Chicago early Saturday morning, according to police.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. on West Belden Street near the 6000 block. Two men, aged 25 and 29, were outside when someone suddenly opened fire.
The 25-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to Loyola University Medical Center but sadly didn’t survive. The 29-year-old was hit in the back and shoulder. Thankfully, he is expected to recover and is currently in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Detectives from Area Five are now working hard to piece together what happened and find out who’s responsible. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
