Tragic Loss! Agent Linked to ‘Zizians’ Buried with Honors

MINNEAPOLIS – A U.S. Border Patrol agent, David “Chris” Maland, 44, who was killed during a traffic stop in Vermont, will be laid to rest with full military honors on Saturday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Maland was shot and killed on January 20 during a traffic stop on Interstate 91 in Coventry, Vermont, about 20 miles from the Canadian border. The suspect, who was driving the stopped car, opened fire on Maland and other agents, leading to a shootout that resulted in her companion’s death. Investigators believe both individuals were part of a cult-like group called the Zizians, which may be linked to six deaths in three states.
