An elderly man lost his life late Monday night after his home came under heavy gunfire in Wayne County. Authorities identified the victim as 83-year-old Wilbert Stringfield.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Pecan Road in Dudley.
