Two women were tragically killed in their apartment in Milton Keynes, England, on Christmas Day, and a man is now facing multiple charges in connection with the attack that also left two others badly hurt.
Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, lost their lives in the stabbing, while a teenage boy and a man in his late 20s were seriously injured. Both were rushed to the hospital and are thankfully in stable condition, according to police.
The violent incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on December 25 at an apartment on Santa Cruz Avenue in Bletchley. When officers arrived, they found the bodies of the two women and the injured victims. Even a dog was caught in the chaos but, fortunately, survived the ordeal.
Police wasted no time launching an investigation, and by December 27, they had arrested Jazwell Brown, 49, who lived on Santa Cruz Avenue. Brown is now facing charges for two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and additional offenses, including possession of a knife and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
Brown appeared in court on December 28, where he reportedly only confirmed his name, age, and address. His next court appearance is set for December 31 at Luton Crown Court.
The tragedy has left the local community stunned. Milton Keynes city councillor Shazna Muzammil expressed the community’s heartbreak, calling the attack “horrible” and “deeply shocking.” She extended condolences to the victims’ families and said the people involved were known to each other.
A significant police presence remains in the area as investigations continue, and officers are encouraging anyone with concerns to reach out.
