A tragic hit-and-run on Christmas night has left a woman dead in Queens. Authorities say the incident happened around 9:35 p.m. at the intersection of 111th Avenue and 158th Street. The victim, later identified as 45-year-old Antonina Freycinet, was found lying in the street with injuries that suggested she had been struck by a car.
Sadly, Freycinet was taken to Jamaica Hospital but could not survive her injuries. Shockingly, no vehicle was found at the scene, and police are still working to track down the driver responsible for the hit-and-run. It was also revealed that Freycinet lived just a short distance from where she was found.
At this time, investigators have released few additional details, but the search for the person behind the wheel continues. Community members are left in disbelief, hoping for justice as they remember the victim.
