A 20-year-old from Asbury Park has been arrested after being linked to a devastating house fire in Deal, New Jersey, early Sunday morning. Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago revealed that Nasyr-Alaire D. Fisher is facing several serious charges, including burglary, arson, and assaulting law enforcement officers.
The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. on Lady Bess Drive. When firefighters arrived, they found the home completely engulfed in flames. Fisher was found nearby by Deal Police shortly after the fire was discovered.
After a thorough investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Deal Police Department, it was determined that Fisher was responsible for starting the fire. He was arrested and is now being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility as he waits for his first court appearance.
