During a Victory Rally on Sunday in Washington, President-elect Donald Trump made a bold promise about his plans once he takes office. He announced that within hours of swearing in, he would be reversing many of President Biden’s executive orders, particularly those related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Trump made it clear that he wanted to tackle these changes right away. “We’re doing them tomorrow,” he said confidently, adding that he had a lot of plans to sign in the near future. One of his priorities would be rolling back DEI mandates, insisting that the country should focus on a “merit system” instead.
Trump also touched on the issue of government transparency, vowing to reverse what he called the “overclassification” of government documents. He even promised to declassify records related to some of the country’s most notorious events, like the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.
As for the military, Trump said he would direct the construction of an “iron dome defense system” similar to the one in Israel and make sure “wokeness” no longer influences the armed forces. His message was clear: big changes are coming quickly, and he’s ready to act on them as soon as he takes office.
