Bicyclist Facing Severe Injuries After Being Struck by Car in Butler County

A bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a vehicle in Butler County, Missouri, on Friday, January 31. The incident took place around 6:20 p.m. on Highway B, approximately two miles east of Poplar Bluff. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, a 2006 Dodge Caravan struck a 57-year-old man who was riding his bicycle on the roadway.

The bicyclist, a resident of Poplar Bluff, sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the man by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment. The extent of his injuries was not disclosed, but authorities confirmed that he was seriously hurt.
