Early Wednesday morning, a car fire near the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas caused quite a scene, leading to the hotel being evacuated just to be safe. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the incident stirred up some chaos in the area. Fire crews are still piecing together what sparked the blaze.
The fire started around 8:40 a.m. on Fashion Show Drive, just steps from the hotel and the nearby Fashion Show Mall. Witnesses described seeing thick smoke and hearing a loud boom that had everyone on edge. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, and out of caution, the hotel’s guests and staff were asked to leave the building.
Though firefighters managed to put the fire out before it could spread, the whole situation led to traffic delays and temporary closures in the area. Officials are working to get things back to normal, but they’ve warned there might be some lingering disruptions. The silver lining? No one was injured. It’s still unclear if the car was actually on hotel property.
Interestingly, this incident happened just days after a similar event in Chicago. On December 19, a car caught fire inside the parking garage of the Trump International Hotel & Tower there. Firefighters in Chicago quickly got things under control, and no injuries were reported.
For now, Las Vegas authorities are continuing to investigate, and more information is expected to surface soon.
