A recent court ruling has temporarily blocked the Biden administration’s effort to auction unused border wall materials, halting the process for 30 days. These auctions, which started in 2023, were part of Biden’s broader strategy to undo many of the border policies put in place during Trump’s presidency. Some critics claim this move is just another attempt to prevent President-elect Donald Trump from making progress on his border security plans.

Donald Trump has been vocal about his concerns, calling the Biden administration’s actions “almost criminal.” He argued that the materials were meant for the border wall, and without them, rebuilding will be even more expensive in the future. “They know we’re going to use it,” Trump said. “If we don’t have it, it’ll cost double to rebuild.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has celebrated the court’s decision, claiming it’s a victory in the fight to maintain the border wall materials. He emphasized that this ruling stops further disposal of important materials and prevents Biden from taking any more steps that could undermine national security. Paxton even pointed to his earlier victory in forcing the administration to resume construction of the wall.

Meanwhile, in California, Governor Gavin Newsom is facing criticism for pushing a $25 million fund to “Trump-proof” the state. Critics argue that this money would be better spent on tackling real issues that Californians face daily, rather than focusing on political battles.

In other news, a shocking crime in New York City has left many in disbelief. After being deported in 2018, a Guatemalan migrant re-entered the U.S. illegally and set a woman on fire aboard a subway train. The city’s police are committed to bringing justice to the victim.
