Tragedy in Brooklyn: 3-Year-Old Boy Abandoned at Hospital Dies, Family Demands Justice

A family in New York is devastated and searching for answers after the heartbreaking death of a 3-year-old boy who was abandoned at a hospital. The toddler, identified by his grandmother as Kyng Davis, was dropped off at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn on Sunday morning, March 9. Sadly, he was unresponsive when he arrived and passed away shortly after.

Witnesses say an unidentified woman brought Kyng into the hospital around 11:30 a.m., his little body covered in bruises. A hospital employee told reporters that the woman left immediately after dropping him off, without providing any information. “She just took off,” the employee said. “She had a car waiting outside, and they drove away.”

The tragedy has left Kyng’s family shattered. His grandmother, Kayatta Foster, spoke briefly outside the hospital, her pain evident. “I’m the grandmother. It’s hurting me, y’all. I don’t know what to do right now,” she said. “Whoever did this to my grandson, the grandmother is coming for y’all.”

Kyng’s godmother, Sabrina Johnson, shared her heartbreak, remembering him as a bright and loving child. “When I see his face, the cutest little dude you ever wanted to see,” she said. “And it’s just so sad that he’s no longer here.” Fighting back tears, she added, “You are no longer in pain. God gained an angel, and I’m so sad that it took only three years of him being on this earth. He could’ve had so much more.”

As authorities investigate, the medical examiner has yet to determine an official cause of death. However, early findings suggest Kyng may have already been dead when he was brought to the hospital, showing signs of rigor mortis — the stiffening of the body after death.

The New York Police Department and SUNY Downstate Medical Center have not yet released further statements. Kyng’s family is now pleading for justice and answers in this tragic and deeply painful case.
