Unusual Weapon: Florida Woman Accused of Attacking Man with Pringles Can

A Florida woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery after allegedly attacking a man with a Pringles can, authorities said. The incident occurred on Thursday, March 6, at a 7-Eleven convenience store on International Drive in Orlando.

According to an arrest affidavit, 28-year-old Shanika Serdahl struck Martin Milburn in the face with a Pringles chip can, causing a deep cut near his right eyebrow and below his eye. The injury was significant, with deputies at the scene noting that it appeared likely to cause scarring and permanent disfigurement.

The incident reportedly began when Milburn was approached by an unidentified man at the 7-Eleven, who made a comment about his vehicle. Milburn then turned to Serdahl and asked if she was with the man. At that point, Serdahl allegedly hit him in the face with the Pringles can and fled the store on foot.

Deputies later found Serdahl nearby and brought her back to the store, where Milburn identified her as the suspect. She was read her Miranda rights, and when asked about the altercation, she stated that Milburn had been “saying rude things” to her and acting disrespectfully.

According to Serdahl, Milburn had called her an offensive name before she struck him. However, Milburn claimed that he only asked if she knew the man outside, to which she responded, “That’s my man,” before turning around and hitting him above the eye with the Pringles can.

A witness confirmed that Milburn had only been informing them about another male customer lying on the side of the building. The witness recalled that Serdahl insulted Milburn before hitting him, causing the can to fly down an aisle, and then left the store.

Milburn received medical attention at the scene, while authorities took photographs of the Pringles can as evidence. Serdahl was arrested and booked on a charge of aggravated battery. It is currently unclear whether she has retained an attorney to represent her.
